Billing & tuitionv2
Note: These policies supersede all others. REGISTRATION/TUITION Dynamite offers monthly enrollment (no sessions), which means that once your child is enrolled (the system will expect them to join the next class), we will charge prorated tuition for the remaining classes the first month and thereafter automatically charge on the first of each month until you submit a drop request via the portal (see DROP section below). Tuition is based on an average of 4 classes per month. We do not charge more for months with 5 classes or less for months with 3 classes; holidays are offset by months with 5 classes, so no tokens are granted for scheduled closures. Similar to private school, Dynamite has small class ratios and tuition secures a spot, whether students attend or not. Unlike private school, Dynamite offers the option of earning makeup tokens for missed classes (see the Attendance & makeups policy). If the gym has to close for a reason beyond our control (i.e., weather, power outage), we will issue makeup tokens for unscheduled closures. We have rolling admission, so upon agreeing to our policies, your student will be enrolled in the next class. If you do not wish to start immediately, we are happy to drop your request and you can submit a new one closer to when you are ready to enroll. Please note that enrollment is first come first serve and only tuition secures the spot. Once you drop, the available spot will open up for other students. When enrolling mid-month, tuition will be prorated for the remaining classes that month; thereafter, monthly tuition is charged on the 1st, prepaying for the full month or partial month (if you set a mid-month drop date). While parents may drop enrollment at any time, parents must submit a drop request via the portal by the 15th to drop on the last day of that month (at the earliest) OR to drop mid-month in the following month without being charged full tuition for the following month. Enrollment will continue until you set an end date according to these rules (see DROP below). If you cancel enrollment after tuition has been charged, no credits or refunds will be provided. Please understand this is a policy across all four of our gyms and we pride ourselves on being fair to all our families. Please note that all of our classes have set ratios; we cannot squeeze any child into a class and oversubscribe. Preschool classes have no more than 6 students and all other age groups have 8 students. We make no exceptions to this rule. TRANSFER/WAITLISTS Parents can manage enrollment(s), makeup requests and waitlists via the portal. While you can submit a request to transfer for the distant future, transfer requests will not be processed until within 6 days of the class transfer date. This means other students are still able to enroll and take a spot in the desired class before the transfer has been finalized (enrollment and transfers are processed first come, first serve). If your child is on waitlists, please be sure that you would be willing to transfer to that class if a spot becomes available. Having children on waitlists with no intention of transferring skews the class availability, so please remove these requests. If your child is on a waitlist and we cannot get in touch with you within 48 hours to add them to the class they will be removed from the waitlist to make space for another student. HOLD We allow students to go on Hold for $25/month. This will NOT hold a spot in a class, but rather is to continue enrollment to use makeup tokens. It is the parents' responsibility to drop their Hold enrollment for the last day of the month once tokens are redeemed. Requests for a drop date must be submitted via the portal by the 15th to not be billed for the following month. DROP/CHANGE ENROLLMENT The rationale for our drop policy is to give us at least two weeks to make changes to our families' accounts before billing on the 1st of the following month. Any changes to the next month's tuition including not continuing (no charge) or a mid-month drop (partial charge) must be submitted by the 15th. Once tuition is charged, that month's tuition is prepaid, so the earliest a student can drop is on the last day of the current enrollment month and any drop dates made after the 1st will automatically be changed to the last day of the month. Example: A parent logs in on 3/2 and sets a drop date for 3/2. The drop date will be changed to 3/31 as the parent has prepaid for the month. If your student is unable to attend the remaining scheduled classes that month, you may submit future absence notifications (at least 48 hours in advance of the start time of class) to earn makeup tokens and use them before the drop date. Tokens may be redeemed at any Dynamite Gym (Dynamite, The Agility Center, Bolt Parkour and Spark Gymnastics) for 50-minute open gyms, classes and camp days (multiple tokens are required). You are welcome to use the tokens for single classes for non-enrolled siblings or even parents (we have awesome adult classes--even for beginners!). All tokens expire on the drop date; however, you are welcome to transfer the student to Hold ($25/mo) status to keep and redeem tokens but not be enrolled in a class. Any drop requests made after the 15th but prior to the 25th will incur a $25 late cancellation fee. Drop requests made on or after the 25th will result in the drop date being moved to the last day of the following month since billing will already be set. We set billing in advance and cannot make changes once this is done. PAYMENT Parents are responsible for making sure credit card information is updated in our system. Any credit card payments that do not go through will result in a $25 late fee and we reserve the right to exclude your child from class due to a past balance in your account. Parents will be responsible for paying for missed classes if the child is still actively enrolled. Please note that tuition pays for your child's spot in a class (like private school) rather than a certain number of classes. Any chargebacks initiated without discussing with us first will require payment of all amounts due and a $50 chargeback fee before returning to any Dynamite gym.
Attendance & makeupsv2
PREPARE FOR CLASS Encourage your child to use your home bathroom and be ready to enter the gym (except for shoes and outerwear) upon arrival. Students must collect their name tag at the door, place all belongings into a cubby, wipe the bottoms of their feet, and wait at the door for the teacher to lead the class into the gym. Students should arrive with their hair tied up, in athletic clothing free of buttons, belts, or zippers. Shorts, tank tops (no midriffs), leggings, and t-shirts, or leotards and shorts/leggings are acceptable. Socks are ONLY to be worn on in-ground trampolines. Preschool students do not require socks. Students in classes starting at the same time may warm up together. If you see a large group of students warming up together, after a 10-minute warm up the students break into their individual groups. EARNED MAKEUP TOKENS No tokens will be granted retroactively regardless of reason (for classes or makeup classes). Tokens are not simply given whenever your student misses class, but rather are granted for occasional absences that meet specific conditions. Our earned tokens program makes your child's spot available to another student, akin to a class swap. Notifications made in person or via phone will not be granted. To earn a token, a student's absence must be excused. To excuse an absence, a future absence notification must be made via the portal at least 48 hours prior to the start time of class, but can be made months in advance. The system counts to the minute. Our system will grant a token for an excused absence after the missed class. Tokens will not be issued prior to the missed class (if you need the token sooner, the front desk can release it early). Tokens expire upon dropping enrollment and have zero monetary value. In the case of a last-minute emergency, submit the future absence via the portal BEFORE the start of class with an explanation in the notes. The front desk reviews emergency absences and will grant a token when the circumstances warrant it. We will not grant tokens (even for emergencies) if the notification is not submitted prior to the start of class. Please provide as much notice as possible to help out other families. Students must be continuously enrolled (in a class or on Hold) to redeem makeup tokens. Students who are in closed pods, on team, team track (for more than one day per week), or receive discounted tuition via scholarship are not eligible for makeup tokens. TOKENS FOR UNSCHEDULED CLOSURES In the unlikely event that we cancel classes due to weather or any other emergency situation, we will automatically excuse all students' absences on that day and grant tokens. REDEEMING MAKEUP TOKENS Enrollment is required (in a class or on Hold) to retain and redeem tokens; however, we allow makeup tokens to be redeemed by siblings and parents in addition to the enrolled student. Once a student drops enrollment, all makeup tokens expire (and have no monetary value). Makeup sessions are only allowed in active classes with students already attending. The portal shows available classes no more than six days in advance. Once your makeup is booked, any cancellations must be requested at least 48 hours in advance or the token will be considered used. SAFETY PROTOCOLS Please err on the side of caution when deciding to bring your child with any symptoms to the gym; we want to minimize infection to the students and staff. In the event of a last-minute illness, submit a future absence notification via the portal prior to the start time of class including an explanation in the notes. Parents are not permitted in the gym unless enrolled in an adult or parent coaching class; however, parents are permitted in the lobby. For viewing, we request that parents stand at the windows between the entrance and exit doors — NOT in front of doors or near the students. Parents who obstruct, distract or interrupt classes will be asked to wait outside. SAFETY/BEHAVIOR RULES For the safety of all students, please be sure your child knows the importance of following our gym rules. Students must stay on designated walkways, remain with their class and at their assigned rotations, follow instructions, adhere to all equipment rules (i.e., one at a time on trampolines, walk on/off trampolines), and exhibit socially appropriate behavior. Students incapable of comporting with our rules are subject to removal. ARRIVE / PICK UP ON TIME For the safety of all, we ask that you drop your children off ON TIME. We cannot permit teachers to leave students unattended in the gym to return to the lobby for late students. You must be on time picking up your child. Parents who are late will be assessed a late charge of $1 per minute and run the risk of having their children removed from classes. If you are unable to arrive or pick up on time, we completely understand — please email or call us so we can help. In the event that no students show up, we only require teachers to stay 15 minutes past the start of their classes. If you arrive more than 15 minutes past the scheduled start time of your class, please ask the front desk staff if there is anything we can do to get you into a later class. COMMUNICATION (E-BLASTS) It is critical that we be able to email all parents since this is our primary vehicle for disseminating vital information. For this reason, we require all families to opt in to gym emails. Please make sure to check your spam folder for correspondence.
